The SAMHS Fund was established on 24 April 1980 with the aim of offering SAMHS personnel discounted benefits and facilities.

Benefits, available at an additional cost, to all SAMHS Fund contributors who pay the monthly (R135.00) or annual contribution (R1,620.00) are:
- Funeral Plan (for both the main member and the spouse/life partner)
- Rapid Rewards Africa and
- SAMHS Fund membership
After retirement from the Organisation, at the age of 60, members may continue with the Fund benefits. However, the latter is at an additional cost and not free.
The Fund will activate the debit order after the completed application form for a bank debit has been received by the Fund Office. Forms are available on the Join link or from the SAMHS Fund Office (info@samhsfund.co.za)

- Funeral Plan (Life Members only) – Married or have a life partner @ R 384.00 per annum
